The cleaning of equipment and facilities is an essential task for any food..
A hygienically designed IBC system enables faster machinery cleaning.
IBC Cleaning Systems - The Benefits
Maximize production time and reduce downtime by cleaning IBCs off-line with a safe, repeatable washing sequence.
A range of washing solutions are available from manual to fully automatic and air-wash to wet-wash.

Providing a comprehensive internal wash and dry of the IBC without the need to remove the Cone Valve.
A high-pressure spray lance distributes water in a controlled and repeatable pattern on all of the internal surfaces of the IBC to remove any powder residue.
The drainage frame includes a cone lifter for automatic cleaning of the outlet with the Cone Valve in situ.
Automatic operation with high-pressure spray lance.
Automatic lid placement.
Drainage frame incorporating a cone lifter.
Optional service skid with heater & chemical dosing.
Repeatable & validatable process.
Typical wash and dry cycle only 20-30 minutes (product dependent).
High manufacturing efficiency rates as IBCs are cleaned off-line without causing mixer or manufacturing line down-time.
Simple IBC design enables easy cleaning of the internal surfaces with no risk of cross-contamination.
Safe, repeatable wash sequences which can be validated for Regulatory Authorities.
Providing a complete inside wash and dry of the IBC without the need to remove the Cone Valve.
Pressurized air is supplied through a lance and nozzle arrangement to expel any particles of powder dust and residue.
Using only air removes the risk of waterborne bacterial growth associated with traditional water-based systems.
Particularly valuable in applications handling dairy or infant nutrition powders.
Any residual powder waste is collected by a dust extraction unit.
Automatic operation with high-pressure spray lance (no need for detergents, hot water or hot air).
Automatic lid placement.
Frame incorporating a cone lifter.
Residual powder collected via dust extraction unit.
Repeatable and validatable process.
Typical air wash cycle only 6-10 minutes (product dependent).
No requirement for detergents, hot water or hot air.
Air wash capability removes the risk of waterborne bacterial growth, particularly useful in dairy and infant nutrition powder applications.

The easiest of cleaning mechanisms, the wash lance arrangement is manually fitted onto the IBC lid.
High-pressure jets spray water in a controlled and repeatable pattern on all of the internal surfaces of the IBC to remove any powder residue.
High-pressure spray lance arrangement.
Cleans IBC internal surfaces.

When it comes to cleaning powder residue off the surface of a Matcon IBC, our range of IBC wet wash equipment starts with the manually placed wash lance.
This unit provides the same washing performance and coverage as the lance on our larger automatic washing system however this device requires operators to remove the IBC Cone Valve from the IBC and manually locate the wash lance on the inlet of the IBC, thus requires more manual intervention than a fully automated system.
The wash lance arrangement is suitable for food applications as well as industrial markets such a metal powders and chemicals.
Using Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) to transport powders between manufacturing steps and to blend powders to a homogenous mix.
Matcon IBCs are efficient, dust-tight powder containers, manufactured to the highest standards for all industry applications.
Formulate powder recipes directly to IBCs with accurate, automated filling and add into your batch processing flow as required.
Mix powder recipes of all sizes any time using an IBC Tumble Blender. Improve loading times, cleaning and remove bottlenecks.
Over the years we have seen a wide range of different powder types and production issues that our Cone Valve technology has been able to overcome. This gives us the confidence to believe we can handle any challenge you wish to put to us.
