What is a Cone Valve?

Matcon IBCs have a ‘passive’ cone seated within the outlet of the powder containers.  When located on the discharge station an ‘active’ probe assembly lifts the cone which creates an annular gap causing powder material to discharge from the IBC under mass-flow.

Why it is Important

The Cone Valve is a superb discharging device overcoming all manner of powder flow problems. The lifting action of the cone breaks up bridged powders and prevents material from rat-holing and causing blend segregation or separation.
